Golden Apple Sangria

There’s something about a big pitcher of sangria that makes a gathering feel like a party before anyone even takes a sip. I love making my Caramel Apple Cider Sangria for fall get-togethers, and my Spiced Pear & Cranberry Vodka Punch is another favorite when I’m serving a crowd. But if you want something golden, fruity, and a little bit magical, this Golden Apple Sangria is the one I’d put on the table.

I pictured this sangria for a Practical Magic 2 party: candles lit, friends around the table, and a pitcher filled with apple and pear slices. It has that cozy fall look, but it’s served chilled and tastes bright and refreshing.

A Fall Sangria Made for Sharing

This easy fall sangria starts with dry white wine, apple cider, and pear nectar. Vanilla vodka adds a soft sweetness, while fresh lemon keeps the drink from tasting too sweet. I add cinnamon sticks and a few pieces of star anise for warm fall flavor, then finish the pitcher with ginger ale right before serving.

It’s a lovely drink for a Halloween party, Friendsgiving, Thanksgiving, or a cozy night with friends. The golden color and fruit do most of the decorating for you, so I like serving it in a clear pitcher where everyone can see what’s inside.

Why I Love Making It Ahead

When I’m having people over, I want a cocktail I can prepare before the doorbell starts ringing. This apple pear sangria is perfect for that. I mix the wine, cider, pear nectar, vodka, lemon juice, and fruit a few hours ahead, then let it chill while I get everything else ready.

The fruit has time to soak up the sangria, and all I have to do when guests arrive is add the ginger ale and pour. Keep the ice in the glasses instead of the pitcher so the whole batch stays flavorful.

How to Serve Golden Apple Sangria

Give the pitcher a gentle stir just before serving, then pour the sangria into glasses with a few apple and pear slices in each one. You can add a fresh slice of fruit or a small cinnamon stick to the glasses if you want to dress them up.

If you’re putting together a fall drink table, I’d serve this alongside my Sparkling Pumpkin Apple Punch for another batch option. For guests who would rather have a cocktail made just for them, my Caramel Apple Cider Martini fits right in.

This Golden Apple Sangria is the kind of recipe I love for entertaining: pretty in the pitcher, easy to make ahead, and simple for everyone to help themselves to. Save it for your next fall gathering—or for a night that calls for a little magic.
