Mocktails have become the leading drink in America, at least for the month of January. With more and more people loving to hop on the band wagon and do Dry January, easy mocktail recipes have become the highlight of that month. It is so fun and easy to make yourself a delicious drink that you won’t even know you aren’t sitting in the Caribbean sipping on the most wonderful cocktail you have ever had. This particular one focuses in on the delicious, juicy and sweet Blood Orange Fruit. Dive in and get ready to embark on a fruitful, tangy, tart and all around whirl wind of flavor when sipping on this drink.

Which Juice To Use?
It’s pretty simple when needing to find the perfect juice to use in an easy mocktail recipe like this. The answer is ALWAYS freshly squeezed. Find yourself a few ripe Blood Oranges and juice those babies up. This juice will always be the best you will find. With the pure freshness and pure sugar flavors, no added preservatives or anything that may alter the true taste of a Blood Orange. With all that said, of course you will need to use bottle juices with some other ingredients in other drinks. But for this one in particular, fresh is always best.
Would This Be Good With Alcohol?
ABSOLUTELY! Those of you are not on the Mocktail train, can always take this recipe and add your favorite spirit. Whether that be Vodka, Gin, Rum or Tequila. However, with this specific drink, and the unique blend of flavors such as, blood orange, pineapple juice, agave and pomegranate juice, I highly recommend sticking with your Vodka of choice here. You may be able to try a fruity flavor, such as Orange, however, plain flavor free Vodka will go perfectly well! Thoughts on making this a batch recipe. Could a raspberry simple syrup work instead of fresh?
Oh yes absolutely you can do that! I would just suggest not adding the sparkling water until you pour or serve each glass as if you add it to the batch it will go flat rather quickly!
