What Blood Orange Juice Should I Use?
To make this Blood Orange Pineapple Margarita, I highly suggest using freshly squeezed Blood Orange Juice. It will make this the best that it can be! Some local grocery stores do sell Blood Orange Juice, but it is loaded with added sugars and sweeteners which can make the taste of this cocktail a little too sweet and tart. You can juice about 1-2 Blood Oranges and that should give you enough juice to use for this cocktail! With fresh juice this will be one of the best Margarita drink recipes you will have!
WHAT TEQUILA TO USE?
When searching for the right Tequila, always keep in mind quality and taste. Repasado is a light aging tequila that helps balance all flavors used along with it. This type of tequila would be used best in a margarita such as this Blood Orange Pineapple Margarita as there are many different flavors expressing themselves through one drink. The heart of the margarita lies in the Tequila used. Be wise with your choice, but always know that any high quality brand will bring you a tasty and vibrant cocktail!
What Coconut Milk To Use?
You can use either coconut cream or coconut milk to make a Blood Orange Pineapple Margarita. You can even use coconut water if you don’t want the creamy texture. However, using coconut water will change the taste a bit, as it may not be as flavorful! The main difference between the cream and milk will be the texture. Coconut Cream has more of a frosting pasty texture to it and the milk is more smooth, just like a regular milk or half and half.

Tools You Will Need To Make The Blood Orange Pineapple Margarita:
What You Will Need To Make A Blood Orange Pineapple Margarita
BLOOD ORANGES
It is best to use freshly squeezed blood orange juice in this particular drink. If you can’t find blood oranges then it still is ok to use a blood orange juice that you can find at your local supermarket.
PINEAPPLE JUICE
You can always of course make your own fresh pineapple juice. Just grab some fresh pineapple chunks, a little water and blend together in a blender. Then strain that mixture into a glass container and voila you have delicious fresh pineapple juice. However, grabbing bottled or canned pineapple juice from your local grocery store will work just as well!
Which Tequila Should You Use?
TEQUILA
Make sure to always get the highest quality tequila for the best tasting drink! Some I love are, Patron, Casamigos, Celosa, and Reposado.
ORANGE LIQUEUR
You can go high end with this, meaning Cointreau, or just simply stick to the basics, meaning Triple Sec. Either one of these will taste just as good as the next. The only huge difference is Cointreau will run you about $30 in the liquor store and Triple Sec will run you about $10.
AGAVE
Agave is a perfect alternative to using sugar. It will sweeten up your drinks without all that added negativity. It’s just the right amount of sweetness without leaving you with the headache or sugar high!
LEMONS
ALWAYS use freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice. You probably only need about a half of a large lemon to make one of these drinks.
COCONUT MILK OR CREAM
You can use either coconut cream or coconut milk to make a Blood Orange Pineapple Margarita. You can even use coconut water if you don’t want the creamy texture. However, using coconut water will change the taste a bit, as it may not be as flavorful! The main difference between the cream and milk will be the texture.
