Butter Pecan RumChata Punch

If there is one type of cocktail I love making once fall arrives, it’s a creamy RumChata punch that I can make ahead and serve to a crowd. I’ve made so many fun versions lately, including my Pumpkin Spice White Russian Punch, Maple Cinnamon RumChata Punch, and Brown Sugar RumChata Espresso Punch, but this Butter Pecan RumChata Punch has such a different flavor and might be one of my new favorites.

It’s creamy, nutty, slightly sweet, and has that warm butter pecan flavor that immediately makes me think of fall. RumChata, vanilla vodka, amaretto, and butter pecan creamer all come together to create a cocktail that tastes almost like a butter pecan dessert in a glass.

And because this is a batched cocktail, you can mix everything together before your guests arrive, chill it in the refrigerator, and have it ready to pour when the party starts.

The Perfect Creamy Fall Cocktail

I love having a few different types of cocktails when I’m entertaining, and this one is definitely for anyone who loves the richer, creamier side of fall drinks.

The RumChata gives the punch its cinnamon and vanilla flavor, while the vanilla vodka adds a little extra sweetness. Amaretto brings in that subtle nutty flavor, and the butter pecan coffee creamer is what really gives this cocktail its signature butter pecan taste.

It’s sweet without needing a bunch of extra syrups or complicated ingredients, which is exactly what I want when I’m making cocktails for a crowd.

Why You’ll Love This Butter Pecan RumChata Punch

One of my favorite things about this recipe is how easy it is.

There is no shaking individual cocktails and no standing behind the bar while everyone else is having fun. Everything gets mixed together in one pitcher or drink dispenser.

It’s also:

  • Creamy and smooth
  • Filled with butter pecan, vanilla, and cinnamon flavor
  • Easy to make ahead
  • Perfect for serving a crowd
  • Great for fall and Thanksgiving entertaining
  • Made with simple ingredients
  • Delicious served as a dessert cocktail

This would be such a fun drink for a fall girls’ night, Friendsgiving, Thanksgiving, a cozy dinner party, or even Halloween if you want something creamy instead of one of the traditional spooky cocktails.

What Does Butter Pecan RumChata Punch Taste Like?

If you love butter pecan ice cream, you’ll probably love this cocktail.

It has that same combination of buttery vanilla flavor and toasted nuttiness, but RumChata adds a little cinnamon warmth that makes it perfect for fall.

The amaretto is subtle but really important here. It brings out that nutty flavor without overpowering the rest of the cocktail.

And even though this is definitely a creamy dessert-style drink, the small pinch of salt helps balance all of the sweetness.

A Great Make-Ahead Cocktail for Parties

Any cocktail I can prepare before people arrive automatically gets extra points from me.

You can mix the entire Butter Pecan RumChata Punch together a couple of hours before your party and keep it covered in the refrigerator.

When you’re ready to serve, give everything another really good stir and pour it over ice.

Because the punch contains milk, half-and-half, RumChata, and creamer, you’ll want to keep it refrigerated until serving.

I also prefer keeping the ice out of the main batch until serving so the punch doesn’t get watered down.

How I Like to Serve It

A glass drink dispenser or pretty pitcher is perfect for this recipe, especially for Thanksgiving or a fall party.

Fill your individual glasses with ice, pour the Butter Pecan RumChata Punch over the top, and finish each glass with a little whipped cream and chopped pecans.

I wouldn’t add whipped cream directly to the drink dispenser. Keeping the punch itself smooth and creamy and saving the toppings for each individual glass gives you a much prettier presentation.

You could also lightly toast your chopped pecans before serving them. It brings out their flavor and makes the garnish taste even better.

More Creamy Fall Cocktails to Try

If creamy fall cocktails are your thing, there are plenty of others you can add to your fall drink menu.

My has that classic maple-and-cinnamon flavor that is perfect for Thanksgiving, while my Creamy Pumpkin Chai Latte Punch is a great option if you love pumpkin and chai.

You could even serve two different creamy punches together and let everyone decide which one they like best.

Can I Make a Smaller Batch?

Absolutely. This recipe makes around 10 servings, but you can easily cut all of the ingredients in half for a smaller gathering.

The proportions stay the same, so it is an easy recipe to adjust depending on how many people you’re serving.

The Ultimate Butter Pecan Cocktail for Fall

This Butter Pecan RumChata Punch is one of those recipes that looks and tastes special without requiring a lot of work.

The combination of creamy RumChata, vanilla vodka, amaretto, and butter pecan creates such a cozy fall flavor, and the fact that you can make an entire batch ahead of time makes it perfect for entertaining.

Whether you’re hosting Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving, a fall party, or just having a few friends over on a chilly weekend, this is an easy cocktail to mix up, chill, and put out for everyone to enjoy.

And if you love creamy dessert cocktails, definitely save this one. The butter pecan flavor is so good for fall!

servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups RumChata

  • 1 cup vanilla vodka

  • 1/2 cup amaretto

  • 2 cups whole milk

  • 1 cup half and half

  • 1/2 cup butter pecan coffee creamer

  • small pinch of salt

  • Ice, for serving

  • Whipped cream for serving

  • Chopped pecans, for garnish

  • *** If you are unable to find the butter pecan coffee creamer, you can use this instead—Use 1/2 cup vanilla coffee creamer + 1/4 teaspoon butter extract + 1/4 teaspoon pecan extract.
If you can’t find pecan extract either, use 1/2 cup vanilla creamer + 1/4 teaspoon butter extract + an extra tablespoon or two of amaretto. It won’t be quite as distinctly “butter pecan,” but it will still be creamy, nutty, and really good.

Directions

  • Add the RumChata, vanilla vodka, amaretto, whole milk, half-and-half, butter pecan coffee creamer, and a small pinch of salt to a large pitcher or drink dispenser.
  • Whisk or stir everything together really well until completely combined.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours so the punch is completely chilled and all of the flavors have time to come together.
  • When you’re ready to serve, give the punch another good stir.
  • Fill individual cocktail glasses with ice and pour the Butter Pecan RumChata Punch over the top.
  • Top each glass with a small amount of whipped cream and chopped pecans.
    Serve immediately and enjoy!
