Maple Pear Vanilla Vodka Smash

There are certain cocktails that just taste like fall, and this Maple Pear Vanilla Vodka Smash is definitely one of them. It’s made with sweet pear nectar, vanilla vodka, a touch of maple syrup, fresh lemon juice, and spicy ginger beer for the perfect mix of cozy and refreshing.

If you love easy seasonal drinks, you’ll also want to try my Apple Cider Aperol Spritz, Cranberry Orange Vodka Spritz, and Salted Caramel Apple Martini. They’re all simple enough to make at home but pretty enough to serve for a fall dinner party or holiday gathering.

An Easy Fall Cocktail That Feels Special

I love creating fall cocktails that don’t require a long list of ingredients or homemade syrups. This one comes together in just a few minutes, but it tastes like something you’d order at a cozy restaurant or cocktail bar.

Pear is such an underrated fall flavor. It’s naturally sweet without being overpowering, and it pairs especially well with vanilla, maple, lemon, cinnamon, and ginger.

The vanilla vodka gives the drink a soft sweetness, while the pear nectar makes it fruity and smooth. Maple syrup adds just enough warmth, and fresh lemon juice balances everything so the cocktail doesn’t become too sweet.

The ginger beer at the end is what really makes this drink. It gives the cocktail a little spice and fizz and makes every sip feel light and refreshing.

Why You’ll Love This Maple Pear Vodka Cocktail

This drink is one of those recipes that works for so many different occasions.

It’s easy enough for a Friday night at home but also feels special enough to serve at Thanksgiving, a fall dinner party, girls’ night, or even a fall bridal or baby shower.

I also love that this cocktail isn’t overly heavy. Some fall drinks can be very creamy or rich, but this one is bright, slightly sweet, and refreshing while still having all those cozy autumn flavors.

And it looks beautiful with very little effort.

A thin slice of pear, a cinnamon stick, or a rosemary sprig instantly makes it feel restaurant-worthy.

The Perfect Fall Flavor Combination

Pear and maple are such a good combination because neither one completely takes over the drink.

The pear nectar gives you that soft fruity flavor first, and then the maple comes through in the background.

Vanilla adds another layer of warmth, while the lemon keeps the drink bright.

Then you get that little bit of ginger spice at the end.

It’s sweet, tart, fizzy, and just warm enough to feel perfect for fall.

How to Make a Cinnamon Sugar Rim

If you want to make this cocktail even prettier, add a cinnamon sugar rim.

I like to put a little maple syrup on one shallow plate and a mixture of cinnamon and sugar on another.

Dip the rim of the glass lightly into the maple syrup and then roll it through the cinnamon sugar.

You don’t need a super thick coating. A light rim gives you just enough sweetness with each sip without overpowering the cocktail.

This is also a really easy little detail if you’re serving these for guests because you can rim all of your glasses ahead of time.

Tips for the Best Maple Pear Cocktail

Use chilled ingredients whenever possible. Starting with cold pear nectar and ginger beer helps the cocktail stay colder longer once it’s poured over ice.

Fresh lemon juice is also worth using here. Since there are only a few ingredients, fresh citrus makes a noticeable difference.

I also recommend using real maple syrup instead of pancake syrup. You only need a little bit, and pure maple syrup gives you that deeper fall flavor without tasting artificial.

When adding the ginger beer, pour it directly into the glass after shaking the rest of the ingredients. You want to keep all those bubbles.

Can You Make This Cocktail Ahead of Time?

Yes, and this is one of the reasons I love it for entertaining.

You can mix the vanilla vodka, pear nectar, lemon juice, and maple syrup together ahead of time and keep it chilled in the refrigerator.

When guests arrive, just pour the mixture over ice and top each glass with ginger beer.

It saves you from having to measure every single ingredient while everyone is standing around the kitchen.

If you’re putting together a full fall cocktail menu, this would also be delicious alongside my Fall Fig Spritz or Brown Sugar RumChata Espresso Punch for guests who want something a little richer.

A Cozy Fall Cocktail You’ll Make Again

If you’re looking for something a little different from the usual pumpkin and apple cider cocktails, this Maple Pear Vanilla Vodka Smash is such a good one to add to your fall recipe list.

It’s simple, pretty, refreshing, and full of seasonal flavor without being overly sweet.

Add that cinnamon sugar rim, garnish it with a pear slice and rosemary, and you have one of those cocktails that looks impressive even though it only took a few minutes to make.

This is definitely one I’ll be serving all season long.
