Pumpkin Spice Margarita
Once fall hits, I am all about finding new ways to turn my favorite cocktails into something a little more seasonal. I love a cozy drink, especially recipes like my Caramel Apple Cider Martini, Brown Sugar Cinnamon Espresso Martini, and Snickerdoodle White Russian, but sometimes I want a fall cocktail that isn’t creamy or super heavy. That’s exactly where this Pumpkin Spice Margarita comes in.
I wasn’t sure how I would feel about pumpkin and tequila together at first, but I actually love this combination. You still get that fresh, slightly tart margarita flavor, but with just enough pumpkin and warm spice to make it feel perfect for fall.

A Margarita Made for Fall
I feel like margaritas always get pushed aside once summer is over, and they really shouldn’t! There are so many ways to make them work for different seasons, and this pumpkin version is definitely one of my favorites for September and October.
It has that cozy pumpkin spice flavor without tasting like you’re drinking pumpkin pie. That was important to me because I still wanted this to taste like a margarita first. The citrus keeps everything fresh, while the pumpkin and spice give it that little fall twist.
And of course, I had to do a cinnamon-sugar rim. It adds just enough sweetness to every sip and makes the whole drink feel a little more special.
Perfect for Fall Entertaining
This is such a fun cocktail to make when you have friends over in the fall. I could see serving these for a girls’ night, Halloween party, football Sunday or even before Thanksgiving dinner.
They also look so pretty on a fall bar cart with a few cinnamon sticks, fresh limes and some mini pumpkins around. You really don’t need to do much to make these feel festive.
If I’m having a bigger group over, I usually like having a couple different cocktail options. Something fresh like this margarita pairs really well with a sweeter batched drink, like my Fall Apple Cider Punch, so everyone has something they like.

Make It Your Own
One thing I love about margaritas is how easy they are to adjust. If you like yours sweeter, you can make it a little sweeter. If you love that tart lime flavor, lean into that instead.
You can also make this one spicy, which is SO good with the pumpkin spice. A little jalapeño gives it just enough heat without taking away from the fall flavors. I also love the idea of adding a little Tajín to the rim if you like that sweet, spicy and salty combination.
And if pumpkin cocktails are your thing, definitely try my Pumpkin Spice White Russian Punch too. It’s completely different from this margarita but just as perfect for fall.
One I’ll Be Making All Season
I love all the creamy pumpkin drinks this time of year, but sometimes I just want something lighter and a little more refreshing. This Pumpkin Spice Margarita gives me the best of both worlds — those cozy fall flavors I’m craving while still tasting bright and fresh.
It’s easy enough to make on a random Friday night but cute enough to serve when you have people over. And that cinnamon-sugar rim might just be my favorite part.
If you love pumpkin spice AND margaritas, this is definitely one to make before fall is over. Cheers!
