Santa’s Cherry Lime Christmas Punch

If there’s one thing I love during the holidays, it’s a festive cocktail that looks just as pretty as it tastes! And this Santa’s Cherry Lime Christmas Punch is definitely one of those drinks that needs to make an appearance at your next Christmas party.

It’s bright red, sweet, a little tart, perfectly refreshing, and has just the right amount of fizz. Between the delicious cherry flavor, fresh lime juice, and a little bubbly lemon-lime soda, it’s basically a Christmas cherry limeade with a grown-up twist!

And you already know how much I love a good batched cocktail. Especially during the holidays when there’s so much going on between decorating, baking, wrapping gifts, and entertaining.

The Prettiest Red Christmas Punch

There’s something about a bright red cocktail during Christmas that just makes everything feel extra festive.

I especially love serving this punch in a large clear glass drink dispenser or pitcher so you can see that beautiful cherry-red color.

Add some fresh lime slices, cocktail cherries, and a few sprigs of rosemary, and you have the prettiest Christmas cocktail without needing to do anything complicated.

It’s such a fun addition to a Christmas Eve celebration, holiday girls’ night, cookie exchange, or even a cozy night at home watching Christmas movies.

And if you have a holiday cocktail station set up, this drink would look adorable next to my North Pole White Chocolate RumChata Punch. The bright red and creamy white drinks together make such a pretty Christmas combination!

What Does Santa’s Cherry Lime Christmas Punch Taste Like?

Think of your favorite cherry limeade, but a little more festive!

The cherry juice gives this cocktail its beautiful red color and delicious fruity flavor, while the limeade and freshly squeezed lime juice add just enough tartness to balance everything out.

The vodka blends right in without overpowering the cherry and lime flavors, and the lemon-lime soda gives everything that refreshing bubbly finish.

It’s sweet, tart, refreshing, and incredibly easy to sip on.

I also love that this cocktail isn’t creamy or heavy, which makes it a really nice option to serve alongside all of those delicious Christmas appetizers and desserts.

Why I Love Making Batched Cocktails for Christmas

I say this all the time, but when I’m hosting, the last thing I want to do is spend the entire night making individual cocktails!

That’s exactly why I love creating big batches of festive drinks.

You can mix almost everything together ahead of time, refrigerate it, and have it ready when your guests arrive.

With this particular punch, I like to combine the vodka, cherry juice, limeade, and fresh lime juice ahead of time, then add the lemon-lime soda right before serving so everything stays nice and bubbly.

It takes just a few minutes to put together, and you have enough for approximately 10–12 cocktails.

How to Make This Cherry Lime Punch Extra Festive

One of my favorite parts about making holiday cocktails is decorating them!

For this punch, I like to keep everything pretty simple because the beautiful red color already makes such a statement.

You can add fresh lime wheels and cocktail cherries directly into your drink dispenser or pitcher.

For individual glasses, I love adding a little rosemary sprig for that Christmas greenery look, along with a bright red cherry.

You can even rim your glasses with a little sugar for an extra festive touch.

If you’re creating a Christmas drink station, place your pitcher or dispenser on a pretty tray with some simple greenery and white Christmas lights.

Nothing too complicated, but just enough to give everything that cozy Christmas feeling!

Can You Make Santa’s Cherry Lime Christmas Punch Ahead of Time?

Absolutely! And this is one of the reasons it’s such a great holiday party cocktail.

You can prepare the vodka, cherry juice, limeade, and fresh lime juice several hours ahead of time.

Keep everything covered in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve.

When your guests arrive, simply add the chilled lemon-lime soda, give everything a gentle stir, and you’re ready to go!

One little tip I always recommend is keeping the ice out of the actual drink dispenser.

Instead, fill your guests’ individual glasses with ice before pouring the punch. This keeps the entire batch from becoming watered down, especially if you’re serving it throughout the evening.

A Delicious Christmas Cocktail for Every Holiday Gathering

Whether you’re hosting a big Christmas Eve party, a casual holiday get-together, or a festive girls’ night, this punch is such an easy drink to add to your menu.

It has that perfect combination of sweet cherry, tangy lime, and refreshing bubbles that makes it a crowd-pleaser.

And because it’s made in one big batch, you’re free to actually enjoy your party instead of spending the evening mixing drinks!

If you’re serving a variety of cocktails, I would pair this with something creamy like my Candy Cane White Chocolate Punch or offer my Clausmopolitan Cocktail Martini for guests who love a classic holiday martini.

Cheers to a Very Merry Christmas!

There’s just something so fun about creating festive drinks that everyone can enjoy together during the holidays.

This Santa’s Cherry Lime Christmas Punch is bright, bubbly, refreshing, and so pretty served in your favorite Christmas glasses.

It’s simple enough to make at the last minute but festive enough to be the centerpiece of your holiday cocktail table.

So grab your favorite Christmas pitcher, add those pretty cherry and lime garnishes, and get ready to serve up a little Christmas cheer!

Cheers to holiday entertaining, delicious cocktails, and making memories with the people you love!

Merry Christmas!

Servings

servings

Ingredients

  • Santa’s Cherry Lime Christmas Punch
    Servings: Approximately 10–12 cocktails
    Prep Time: 10 minutes

    2 cups vodka
4 cups cherry juice or cherry juice cocktail
    2 cups limeade
½ cup freshly squeezed lime juice
    2 cups lemon-lime soda (Sprite or 7UP)
    Ice, for serving
    For Garnishing
    Fresh lime slices or wheels
    Maraschino cherries or cocktail cherries
    Fresh rosemary sprigs, optional
    Sugar for rimming glasses, optional

Directions

  • Prepare your punch. In a large pitcher, punch bowl, or drink dispenser, add the vodka, cherry juice, limeade, and freshly squeezed lime juice.
Mix everything together. Stir well until all of the ingredients are completely combined.
Chill your punch. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours before serving so everything gets nice and cold.
Add the bubbles. Right before serving, pour in the chilled lemon-lime soda. Stir gently to combine without losing too much carbonation.
Add your festive fruit. Add a few fresh lime wheels and cocktail cherries directly into the punch for a beautiful Christmas presentation.
Prepare your glasses. Fill individual cocktail glasses with ice. If desired, rim the glasses with a little sugar before adding the ice.
Pour and garnish. Pour the chilled Santa’s Cherry Lime Christmas Punch over the ice. Garnish each glass with a fresh lime slice, a cocktail cherry, and a small rosemary sprig.
Serve and enjoy! Your festive Christmas punch is ready!

    Hosting Tip
If you’re making this punch ahead of time, keep the lemon-lime soda separate until you’re ready to serve so it stays nice and bubbly. I also recommend keeping the ice in individual glasses rather than directly in your drink dispenser to prevent the punch from becoming diluted.
For a sweeter punch, use cherry juice cocktail. If you prefer a more tart cherry flavor, use 100% cherry juice and adjust the sweetness with a little extra limeade if needed.
