Each bite of these whipped feta appetizer toasts is a perfect balance of texture and flavor. The feta, whipped until irresistibly smooth and creamy, melts luxuriously across the crisp French bread slice. Its tangy richness creates the ideal base for the sweet and spicy drizzle of hot honey. As the honey seeps into the feta, it brings out a beautiful depth—highlighting the cheese’s saltiness while adding a warm, golden sweetness. The touch of heat from the honey enhances every flavor, making each bite feel perfectly rounded and satisfying. Finished with a sprinkle of crunchy pecans, it’s a small but unforgettable bite that delights every part of your palate.

French bread is the perfect choice for making crostinis because of its crisp, golden crust and soft, airy interior. When toasted, it develops the ideal crunch that complements any topping, from savory spreads to fresh ingredients. Its subtle flavor enhances, rather than overpowers, the other elements of your recipe. For the best texture and taste, always use French bread—it truly makes every crostini unforgettable.

Ingredients
1 French Baguette
Olive Oil
13 oz Cream Cheese
8 oz Feta or 1 cup crumbled Feta
Hot Honey – or regular honey if you don’t like hot
Salt
Pecans
Rosemary for garnishing
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 375 F.
- Slice up your baguette. I like to slice them about 1/2 an inch thick
- Place all your baguettes on to a baking tray and brush or drizzle them with olive oil
- Sprinkle a bit of sea salt on top of each baguette.
- While your oven heats up, add your feta and cream cheese to a food processor and blend. (it’s much easier to blend if you break the feta up into pieces and also soften the cream cheese)
- Place your baguettes in the oven for about 5 – 10 minutes or until they start to turn golden brown. Make sure to keep checking on them so they don’t burn!
- Take your baguettes out of the oven and let them cool for about 5 minutes
- Next spread a decent amount of your feta mix onto each baguette
- Drizzle honey over each one (the honey will thin out and form over all the whipped feta, so make sure to only drizzle a little on each one) and add a few pecans as well. (if the pecans are a bit too big, you can chop them up a little)
- Garnish each baguette with a small piece of Rosemary.
- Enjoy!
