The classic margarita summer cocktail is one of the most popular cocktails out there. Filled with delicious flavors of tequila, orange liqueur, fresh lime juice, sweet and sour mix and orange juice, this easy margarita recipe will be sure to become a new favorite of yours!
What Will I Need To Make A Classic Margarita?
TEQUILA
Make sure to always get a high quality Tequila. You don’t have to break the bank, but definitely don’t go for bottom shelf on this!
ORANGE LIQUEUR
Cointreau is always my first choice and is the best, however if you don’t want to spend $30 or so on a bottle, then you can go with Triple Sec! It’s a great less expensive brand!
LIME JUICE
My advice – don’t ever buy lime juice on the shelf. ALWAYS use freshly squeezed lime juice in any drink or cocktail you may make!
SWEET AND SOUR MIX
I love using a little of this mix in my margaritas. You can buy this mix at any local liquor store. It’s a knock off kind of lemonade that is used in a lot of cocktails in restaurants and bars. This will also give you that little bit of froth on the top of your margarita!
ORANGE JUICE
Adding a splash of Orange Juice to your summer cocktail margarita is almost like a little secret trick that I just let you in on! So shhhhhh. There are tons of bartenders out there that will do this when making your margarita. It’s going to give this easy margarita recipe the exact sweetness and tartness that will make your tastebuds jump up and down!
