Peppermint Cookies and Cream RumChata Punch
If there are two things I absolutely love during the Christmas season, it’s a delicious dessert-inspired cocktail and a drink that I can make ahead of time for entertaining! This Peppermint Cookies and Cream RumChata Punch is the perfect combination of both, and it might just become one of your new favorite Christmas cocktails!
It’s creamy, sweet, filled with delicious peppermint flavor, and has that classic cookies and cream taste that everyone loves. Think crushed chocolate sandwich cookies, peppermint, vanilla, and a rich, creamy Christmas cocktail all mixed into one!
And of course, because you know how much I love a good batched cocktail, this one is perfect for serving a crowd without spending your entire Christmas party making individual drinks.
If you love creamy Christmas cocktails as much as I do, you’ll also want to try my Candy Cane White Chocolate Punch, RumChata Christmas Cheesecake Punch, and North Pole White Chocolate RumChata Punch.
The Perfect Peppermint Cookies and Cream Christmas Cocktail
There is just something about peppermint during the holidays that instantly makes everything feel a little more festive!
And when you combine peppermint with chocolate cookies and a creamy RumChata base, you have the most delicious Christmas dessert cocktail.
For this recipe, I’m using Peppermint RumChata, which brings that wonderful peppermint flavor without having to add a bunch of extra ingredients. Vanilla vodka gives it a smooth, delicious vanilla flavor, while milk, half-and-half, and white chocolate syrup make everything wonderfully creamy.
And the best part? The crushed chocolate sandwich cookies!
They give each glass that delicious cookies and cream flavor and make the cocktail look so pretty, especially with a little whipped cream and crushed cookies sprinkled over the top.
It’s almost like a grown-up peppermint cookies and cream milkshake!
Why You’ll Love This Christmas RumChata Punch
If you’ve been following along with my recipes, you already know that batched cocktails are one of my absolute favorite things to make when I’m hosting.
I love having everyone over during the holidays, but I also want to actually enjoy spending time with my guests instead of standing in the kitchen mixing drinks all night.
That’s exactly why I love recipes like this one!
You can prepare the punch ahead of time, refrigerate it, and have everything ready to go when your guests arrive.
It’s perfect for Christmas Eve, holiday parties, cookie exchanges, or even a cozy Christmas movie night with friends.
And because it tastes like dessert, it’s also such a fun cocktail to serve after Christmas dinner!
How to Make Your Peppermint Punch Extra Festive
One of my favorite parts about holiday cocktails is making them look just as beautiful as they taste.
For this Peppermint Cookies and Cream RumChata Punch, I love keeping the presentation simple but festive.
Start by dipping the rims of your glasses into a little melted white chocolate or vanilla frosting, then into finely crushed chocolate sandwich cookies.
It gives the glasses the prettiest cookies and cream rim!
Once you’re ready to serve, fill each glass with ice, pour in your chilled punch, and top with a little whipped cream.
Finish with a sprinkle of crushed chocolate cookies and, if you want an extra Christmas touch, a mini candy cane.
I think these would look absolutely adorable served on a Christmas cocktail table with a little greenery, warm white lights, and some pretty holiday glassware.
Nothing too complicated, just simple and festive!
Can You Make Peppermint Cookies and Cream RumChata Punch Ahead of Time?
Absolutely, and I actually recommend it!
One of the best things about this recipe is that you can prepare the creamy punch base a few hours before your Christmas gathering.
Simply combine your Peppermint RumChata, vanilla vodka, milk, half-and-half, and white chocolate syrup in a large pitcher or drink dispenser.
Give everything a really good stir, then refrigerate until you’re ready to serve.
I recommend keeping the crushed cookies separate until serving time, especially if you’re using a drink dispenser. You don’t want the cookies getting soggy or clogging the spout.
When you’re ready, just add the crushed cookies to the individual glasses along with your other garnishes.
It’s such an easy way to make entertaining a little less stressful!
Tips for the Best Cookies and Cream Christmas Punch
A few little things will make this punch even better.
First, make sure all of your ingredients are cold before combining everything. This helps the punch stay nice and chilled without needing a ton of ice.
I also recommend using chocolate sandwich cookies with vanilla cream filling, like Oreos, for that classic cookies and cream flavor.
If you love a stronger chocolate cookie flavor, add a little extra crushed cookie to the individual glasses when serving.
And one of my biggest tips for creamy batched cocktails is to keep the ice out of the drink dispenser.
Instead, let everyone add ice directly to their glasses. That way, your entire batch stays rich and creamy without becoming watered down.
