Banana Bread RumChata Punch – Easy Creamy Fall Cocktail

Banana Bread RumChata Punch
If you love banana bread and creamy dessert cocktails, this Banana Bread RumChata Punch combines the two into one ridiculously good drink. It’s creamy, sweet, a little nutty, and has all those cozy vanilla and banana flavors that make it taste surprisingly similar to a slice of homemade banana bread.
I’ve been making so many creamy RumChata punches lately, and if you love them as much as I do, definitely try my Cinnamon Roll RumChata Punch, Maple Cinnamon RumChata Punch, and Caramel Pumpkin RumChata Punch. They’re all easy batched cocktails that are perfect when you’re entertaining.
And this banana bread version might be one of the most unique ones yet!
A Banana Bread Cocktail Made for a Crowd
I love making batched cocktails whenever I’m having people over because there’s nothing worse than spending the entire night making individual drinks.
With this recipe, you can mix everything together ahead of time, refrigerate it, and simply give it a good stir before your guests arrive.
The combination of RumChata, vanilla vodka, banana liqueur, walnut liqueur, milk, half-and-half, and vanilla creates this really creamy dessert cocktail with just enough banana flavor.
The walnut liqueur is what gives it that little something extra and makes the punch taste much more like actual banana bread instead of simply a banana-flavored cocktail.
What Does Banana Bread RumChata Punch Taste Like?
Think creamy banana pudding meets a slice of warm banana nut bread — but in cocktail form.
RumChata already has those cinnamon, vanilla, and creamy flavors that work so well in dessert drinks. Add banana liqueur and vanilla vodka and you get a sweet banana-vanilla flavor, while the walnut liqueur gives it that nutty banana bread finish.
It’s rich without being ridiculously heavy and makes such a fun drink for fall parties, Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving, girls’ nights, Christmas parties, or even a dessert cocktail after dinner.
If you love creamy cocktails with coffee flavors too, my Brown Sugar RumChata Espresso Punch is another one I would definitely add to your list.
Make This Banana RumChata Punch Ahead of Time
This is actually a great cocktail to prepare before your party.
Mix everything together and refrigerate it for about two hours so it gets really cold and all those flavors have time to come together.
Before serving, give the punch another really good stir. Because it contains dairy, a little separation while it sits is completely normal.
I prefer keeping the ice out of the drink dispenser and adding it to individual glasses instead. That way the entire batch doesn’t become watered down as the ice melts.
You can also keep the whipped cream and crushed vanilla wafers on the side and let everyone garnish their own drink.
How to Serve Banana Bread RumChata Punch
This punch is pretty on its own, but the garnishes are what really give it that banana bread dessert feel.
Pour the chilled punch over ice and top each glass with whipped cream and crushed vanilla wafers.
You could even place a vanilla wafer on top or add a fresh banana slice right before serving. Just don’t add banana slices to the entire dispenser too far ahead of time because they can brown.
For a fall party, I love the idea of serving this alongside a few other seasonal drinks so everyone has something different to try. My Caramel Apple Cider Sangria is a great lighter option to serve next to a creamy cocktail like this one.
Perfect for Fall and Holiday Parties
Even though banana isn’t necessarily the first flavor you think of when you think of fall, banana bread absolutely is.
There’s something about banana, vanilla, cinnamon, and toasted nut flavors that feels so cozy, especially once the weather starts getting cooler.
This would be such a fun addition to a Thanksgiving dessert table, Friendsgiving, fall girls’ night, football party, or Christmas gathering.
You can make the punch ahead of time, put it in a pretty glass drink dispenser, set out your garnishes, and you’re done.
Exactly the kind of party recipe I love!
An Easy RumChata Cocktail Everyone Will Ask About
If you’re looking for something a little different from the typical pumpkin and apple cocktails this fall, make this Banana Bread RumChata Punch.
It’s creamy, sweet, banana-forward without being overpowering, and that little bit of walnut flavor really makes the entire cocktail come together.
And because it makes around 10 servings, it’s perfect for entertaining without having to stand behind the counter shaking cocktails all night.
Save this one for your next fall or holiday party because I have a feeling people are going to ask you for the recipe!
Ingredients
2 cups RumChata
1 cup vanilla vodka
1/2 cup banana liqueur
1/4 cup walnut liqueur
3 cups whole milk
1 cup half and half
1 tsp vanilla extract
Ice, for serving
Directions
- Make the punch. Add the RumChata, vanilla vodka, banana liqueur, walnut liqueur, whole milk, half-and-half, and vanilla extract to a large pitcher or drink dispenser.
- Mix thoroughly. Stir or whisk everything together until completely combined.
- Chill. Cover and refrigerate the punch for approximately 2 hours, or until it is thoroughly chilled.
Stir before serving. Give the punch another really good stir immediately before serving. A little separation while it chills is normal. - Prepare the glasses. Add ice to individual cocktail glasses rather than directly to the drink dispenser.
- Serve. Pour the chilled Banana Bread RumChata Punch over the ice.
Garnish. Top each glass with whipped cream and crushed vanilla wafers. Add a vanilla wafer or fresh banana slice if desired. - Tip: Keep the ice and whipped cream out of the main batch. Adding them to individual glasses keeps the punch creamy and prevents it from becoming watered down.
