Caramel Apple Cider Sangria
If there is one thing I love making once fall rolls around, it’s a big batch cocktail that I can throw together ahead of time and actually enjoy with everyone else. I make sangria all year long, but there’s just something about a fall sangria that feels extra fun. If you love them too, you’ll definitely want to try my Fall Apple Cider Sangria, Fall Pear Vodka Punch, and Spiced Orange Vanilla Punch. They’re all easy, made for a crowd, and perfect for this time of year.
This Caramel Apple Cider Sangria might be one of my coziest fall versions yet. It has all those flavors I immediately think of when September and October roll around—crisp apple cider, fresh apples, warm fall flavors, and just enough caramel to make it taste a little more special.
And the best part? It looks like you put way more effort into it than you actually did.

The Perfect Fall Sangria for a Crowd
I love a cocktail that I can make in a pitcher or drink dispenser and forget about until everyone arrives. There is nothing worse than hosting and realizing you’re going to spend half the night standing in the kitchen making individual drinks.
That’s exactly why sangria is one of my go-to drinks for parties. Make it ahead of time, add plenty of fresh fruit, let everything chill together, and you’re basically done.
This caramel apple version is especially good for fall parties, Halloween get-togethers, Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving, football Sundays, or honestly just one of those chilly weekends when you have a few people over.
What Does Caramel Apple Cider Sangria Taste Like?
Think of a caramel apple, but lighter, boozier, and much more refreshing.
The apple cider gives it that fresh, unmistakable fall flavor, while the caramel adds a little sweetness and richness without turning the entire drink into dessert. I like keeping sangria balanced because I still want it to be something you can sip throughout the night.
Fresh apple slices also soak up all that sangria goodness, which might secretly be one of my favorite parts. Do not throw those away when the pitcher is empty!
Make It Ahead of Time
This is actually one of those recipes that gets better when it has a little time to sit.
I like making my sangria a few hours before everyone arrives and letting it chill in the refrigerator. It gives the fruit time to soak up all those flavors and means there is one less thing I have to think about when people start showing up.
If you’re putting together a whole fall spread, this would be so good alongside something warm and cozy like my Creamy Roasted Tuscan Soup. And if you want something sweet to put out later, my Dark Chocolate Fudge Brownies would be such a good contrast to all of those apple and caramel flavors.
How to Serve Caramel Apple Cider Sangria
I love serving this in a big clear pitcher or glass drink dispenser because the apples and fall colors make the drink so pretty on their own. Add plenty of ice to the individual glasses and spoon a few pieces of fruit into each one.
For a little extra fall touch, you can garnish the glasses with thin apple slices, cinnamon sticks, or even drizzle a tiny bit of caramel around the inside of the glass before pouring.
And if you really want that caramel apple feel, a cinnamon-sugar rim would be SO good.

A Fall Cocktail You’ll Make More Than Once
This is the kind of recipe I love sharing because it’s easy enough that you don’t need a special occasion to make it, but it still feels festive enough for a holiday or party.
It’s sweet, crisp, cozy, and just different enough from a traditional sangria to make people ask what’s in it. And those are always my favorite kinds of recipes—the ones everyone ends up asking you for before they leave.
If you’re looking for an easy fall batch cocktail, apple cider sangria, or Thanksgiving sangria recipe, save this Caramel Apple Cider Sangria. I have a feeling it’s going to become one of those drinks you bring back every fall.
Ingredients
1 bottle Pinot Grigio
3 cups Apple Cider
1/2 cup caramel vodka
1/4 cup caramel syrup
1/2 cup club soda or sparkling water
1 large green apple, thinly sliced
1 large red apple, thinly sliced
1 orange, thinly sliced
3 cinnamon sticks
Ice
Extra apple slices and cinnamon sticks for garnishing
Directions
- Prepare the fruit. Thinly slice the red apple, green apple, and orange. Add all of the fruit to a large pitcher or drink dispenser along with the cinnamon sticks.
- Add the apple cider. Pour the apple cider over the fruit. This gives all those fresh apple and orange slices a chance to start soaking up that fall flavor.
- Add the wine and caramel vodka. Pour in the entire bottle of Pinot Grigio followed by the caramel vodka.
- Add the caramel. Pour in the caramel syrup and give everything a really good stir. I like starting with 1/4 cup because it gives you that caramel-apple flavor without making the sangria overly sweet.
- Let it chill. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to about 6 hours. This is when all those apple, cinnamon, caramel, and cider flavors really come together.
- Finish before serving. Right before serving, stir the sangria again and pour in the club soda or sparkling water for a little fizz.
- Serve. Fill glasses with ice, pour the sangria over the top, and make sure everyone gets a few pieces of that cider-soaked fruit. Garnish with an apple slice and cinnamon stick if you’d like.
