Harvest Fig and Ginger Sangria – Easy Fall Cocktail Recipe

Harvest Fig and Ginger Sangria
If you’re looking for a fall sangria that feels a little different from the usual apple cider recipes, this Harvest Fig and Ginger Sangria is such a good one. It’s fruity, slightly spiced, and has that gorgeous deep fall color that makes it perfect for Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving, or any cozy fall get-together.
I love having a few easy pitcher cocktails ready when I’m entertaining because nobody wants to spend the entire party mixing individual drinks. Why You’ll Love This Fall Sangria
Fresh figs give this sangria a beautiful harvest feel without making it overly sweet. They pair perfectly with red wine, orange, and a little ginger for just enough warmth and spice.
The ginger beer gets added toward the end, giving the sangria some bubbles and a slightly spicy finish. It makes the whole drink taste fresh and festive while still feeling cozy enough for fall.
And because everything gets mixed together in one pitcher, this is one of those cocktails that actually gets better after sitting in the refrigerator for a while. That means you can make most of it ahead of time and have one less thing to worry about before guests arrive.
The Perfect Sangria for Fall Entertaining
This is such a pretty drink to serve for Thanksgiving dinner, a fall girls’ night, a harvest party, or even a casual weekend dinner. Add sliced figs, apples, and oranges to the pitcher and it instantly looks like something you spent way more time making than you actually did.
I especially love serving this alongside cozy fall appetizers or a big charcuterie board. You could also make it part of a fall cocktail table with my Pumpkin Spice RumChata Punch or Apple Cider Aperol Spritz so guests have a few different drinks to choose from.
What Does Fig Sangria Taste Like?
Figs have a mellow, jammy sweetness that works really well with red wine. They aren’t overpowering, so you still get all of the traditional sangria flavors from the wine, citrus, and fruit.
The ginger adds a little warmth without making the drink spicy. Combined with orange liqueur and apple cider, it gives this sangria a really balanced fall flavor.
Make It Ahead
For the best flavor, mix the wine, cider, orange liqueur, fruit, and ginger together a few hours before serving. This gives the fruit time to flavor the wine.
Just wait to add the ginger beer until right before serving so you don’t lose all of those bubbles.
Serving Ideas
Serve the sangria over ice and add a few pieces of the soaked fruit to each glass. A fresh fig slice or thin apple slice makes an easy garnish.
For a larger party, you can easily double the recipe and make it in a large glass drink dispenser instead of a pitcher. Just make sure there’s enough room for all of that gorgeous fruit.
This Harvest Fig and Ginger Sangria is one of those easy fall cocktails that looks beautiful, tastes festive, and can be mostly prepared ahead of time. It’s exactly the kind of recipe I love serving when I want something special without making entertaining complicated.
