Creamy Pumpkin Chai Latte Punch
If there’s one thing I love once fall rolls around, it’s making cozy cocktails that actually taste like the season. I make everything from my Brown Sugar Espresso Martini and Caramel Apple Cider Martini to big-batch favorites like my Pumpkin Spice White Russian Punch, but this Creamy Pumpkin Chai Latte Punch might be one of my coziest yet.

I’m a huge fan of making cocktails for a crowd, especially during the fall because there are just SO many good flavors to work with. Pumpkin, cinnamon, chai, caramel, apple cider, maple—I could keep going. This one combines a bunch of my favorites into a creamy, chilled punch that basically tastes like a boozy pumpkin chai latte.
And I kept it easy. I use chai latte concentrate straight from the carton, so there’s no brewing tea, waiting for it to cool, or adding another unnecessary step. Add everything to a pitcher or drink dispenser, stir it together, chill it, and you have such a fun fall cocktail for a party.

Why I Love This Creamy Pumpkin Chai Punch
I’ve made a LOT of pumpkin cocktails, and I really love how different this one is. It still has that pumpkin spice flavor everyone wants this time of year, but the chai gives it so much more warmth and spice.
It’s creamy without feeling like you’re drinking a milkshake, and the vanilla vodka and RumChata work so well with the chai.
If you like the creamy side of fall cocktails, definitely check out my [Caramel Pumpkin RumChata Punch] and [Maple Cinnamon RumChata Punch], too. Those are both great options when you’re putting together a fall party menu and want something guests can serve themselves.
Another reason I love this recipe? You can make it before anyone gets there. I am always going to choose a party cocktail that doesn’t require me to stand there shaking individual drinks all night!

How I Make My Pumpkin Chai Latte Punch
I like to start with the pumpkin because it’s the one ingredient you really want to make sure gets mixed in well.
Add the pumpkin purée, pumpkin spice syrup, pumpkin spice creamer, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice to a large pitcher or mixing bowl. Whisk everything together until the pumpkin is completely incorporated.
Then pour in the chai latte concentrate and give it another good whisk.
Finally, add the vanilla vodka and RumChata and stir everything together.
That’s it!
Pop it into the refrigerator for an hour or two so it gets really cold. Right before serving, give it another stir and transfer it to your drink dispenser or punch bowl.
I personally like serving this one over ice in individual glasses rather than putting a ton of ice into the dispenser. That way, the punch stays creamy and flavorful instead of slowly getting watered down as the party goes on.
Using Chai Latte Concentrate Makes This SO Much Easier
I know you can make homemade chai, and I know you can steep tea bags and make your own concentrate—but for a party punch? I’m taking the shortcut.
I use chai latte concentrate from the carton because you literally open it, measure it, and pour it in.
It also gives you that strong chai flavor you need to stand up to the pumpkin, creamer, RumChata, and vodka.
And if chai isn’t your thing but you still want a creamy pumpkin cocktail, my [Pumpkin Tiramisu Punch] or [Pumpkin Espresso Batched Martini] would be really fun alternatives.
Make This Pumpkin Punch Ahead of Time
This is probably one of my favorite things about batched cocktails.
You can make the whole thing a few hours before your guests arrive, stick it in the refrigerator, and forget about it until you’re ready to serve.
The pumpkin can settle a little while it sits, which is completely normal. Just give everything a really good stir before serving.
I do not recommend adding ice ahead of time. I’d rather keep the punch cold in the refrigerator and then let everyone pour it over fresh ice.
If you love make-ahead cocktails as much as I do, my [Fall Apple Cider Punch] and [Fall Pear Vodka Punch] are two more easy ones to make when you’re entertaining a crowd.
How I Like to Serve It
This is one of those recipes where the presentation can be so cute without doing very much.
I love putting it into a pretty glass drink dispenser and surrounding it with a few little pumpkins, cinnamon sticks, or some simple fall decor. You definitely don’t need to go crazy.
For the glasses, I like adding ice first, pouring the punch over it, and then adding a little whipped cream and cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice on top.
A cinnamon stick tucked into the glass makes it look extra pretty.
One thing I wouldn’t do is add whipped cream or a bunch of cinnamon directly into your drink dispenser. Keep all of that for the individual glasses. Your punch stays much prettier, and you don’t have to worry about anything clogging the spout.
Can I Use Regular Vodka?
Absolutely.
I like vanilla vodka here because I think that extra vanilla flavor works really well with pumpkin and chai, but if regular vodka is what you already have, use it.
You could add just a touch more vanilla extract if you want to make up for that missing vanilla flavor.
I use vanilla vodka in quite a few of my fall cocktails because it pairs so well with all those warmer flavors. It’s especially good in my [Oatmeal Cookie Martini] and [Caramel Apple Cider Martini].
Can I Make This Without RumChata?
You can!
I really like the RumChata in this recipe because that creamy cinnamon flavor was basically made for pumpkin and chai, but you can substitute it.
Try replacing the 1 1/2 cups of RumChata with:
- 1 cup additional pumpkin spice creamer
- 1/2 cup additional vanilla vodka
It will taste a little different, but you’ll still get a delicious creamy pumpkin chai cocktail.
A Few Tips Before You Make It
Make sure you’re using 100% pure pumpkin purée and NOT pumpkin pie filling. They’re two completely different things.
I also recommend whisking the pumpkin with the creamer and syrup before adding all of the other liquids. It takes an extra minute, but I think it makes a big difference in how smooth the punch turns out.
And taste it!
Different chai concentrates and pumpkin spice creamers have different levels of sweetness. Once everything is mixed together, give it a taste before adding anything extra. You may decide it’s perfect exactly as it is.
The Perfect Fall Party Punch
I love a good single-serve fall cocktail—my [Brown Sugar Espresso Martini] is one I make all the time—but when people are coming over, give me a big drink dispenser filled with something everyone can pour themselves!
This Creamy Pumpkin Chai Latte Punch is exactly that kind of recipe.
It’s creamy, pumpkin-y, full of chai spice, and feels special enough for a Halloween party, Friendsgiving, Thanksgiving, fall girls’ night, or just a cozy Saturday night when you have friends over.
And if you’re putting together an entire fall cocktail menu, you could even offer two completely different options. Pair this creamy punch with something lighter and fruitier like my [Cranberry Vanilla Fall Sangria] or [Fall Apple Cider Sangria] so your guests have a choice.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does pumpkin purée actually work in a cocktail?
Yes! I use it in several pumpkin drinks. The trick is just making sure you whisk it really well so you don’t end up with little clumps of pumpkin floating around.
Is this served hot or cold?
Cold! Even though it tastes like a cozy pumpkin chai latte, this particular recipe is meant to be chilled and served over ice.
How far ahead can I make it?
I like making it a few hours ahead of time. Keep it covered in the refrigerator and stir it really well before serving.
Can I cut the recipe in half?
Definitely. If you’re having a smaller get-together, just halve all of the ingredients.
Can I make it stronger?
You can adjust the vodka a little based on how strong you like your cocktails, but I wouldn’t go too crazy. You still want to taste the pumpkin and chai rather than having the vodka take over.
One More Fall Cocktail to Add to the List
Every year I tell myself I’ve probably made enough pumpkin cocktails, and then I think of another combination I need to try!
