Three Hocus Pocus Drinks to Make for Your Next Halloween Party

If there is one movie that immediately puts me in the mood for Halloween, it has to be Hocus Pocus. The Sanderson Sisters, the costumes, the spooky Salem setting — it is basically everything I love about spooky season wrapped into one movie.
So naturally, I had to create a cocktail inspired by each of the three Sanderson Sisters!
These Hocus Pocus cocktails are such a fun idea if you’re hosting a Halloween party, having friends over for a spooky movie night, or just want something festive to sip while watching Hocus Pocus. You could even set up a little Sanderson Sisters cocktail bar and let everyone choose which sister they want to drink with!
Each cocktail has its own completely different look and personality, just like Sarah, Winifred, and Mary.
Hocus Pocus Drinks for a Halloween Party
One of my favorite things about making Halloween cocktails is that you can really have fun with the colors, garnishes, glassware, and presentation.
For a party, I would make all three of these and set them out together with little signs identifying each Sanderson Sister. Add some candles, pumpkins, black serving trays, and maybe a Hocus Pocus movie playing in the background and you have such an easy Halloween party theme.
Here are the three Sanderson Sisters cocktails!

1. Sarah Sanderson Hocus Pocus Cocktail
The Sarah Sanderson Cocktail is the fun, playful drink of the trio.
Inspired by Sarah’s whimsical and slightly glamorous personality, this cocktail is colorful, festive, and perfect for anyone who likes a sweeter Halloween drink. It also looks so pretty on a Halloween cocktail table next to the darker Winifred and Mary drinks.

This would be such a cute cocktail to serve for a girls’ Halloween night, Hocus Pocus watch party, or spooky-themed happy hour.
2. Winifred Sanderson Hocus Pocus Cocktail

Of course, Winifred needed her own dramatic cocktail.
The Winifred Sanderson Cocktail has that signature witchy green color that immediately makes me think of potions, spells, and the Sanderson Sisters’ bubbling cauldron.
This one is especially fun for Halloween because the bright green drink really stands out on a party table. Add a spooky garnish or serve it in dramatic cocktail glasses to make it feel even more like something straight out of the Sanderson Sisters’ spell book.

If you are hosting a full Hocus Pocus themed party, this is definitely one of those drinks guests are going to notice as soon as they walk in.
3. Mary Sanderson Hocus Pocus Cocktail

Last but definitely not least is the Mary Sanderson Cocktail.
For Mary, I created a bold red Halloween cocktail that fits perfectly with the Sanderson Sisters theme. The rich red color gives it that slightly mysterious, spooky look while still being really pretty and festive for a Halloween gathering.
Serve it alongside the Sarah and Winifred cocktails and you have all three Sanderson Sisters represented at your party.

I especially love this one for a Halloween cocktail table because that deep red color looks amazing next to candles, pumpkins, and darker Halloween decorations.
Make All Three Sanderson Sisters Cocktails
If you can’t decide which Sanderson Sister cocktail to make, I say make all three!
They are even more fun when they’re served together because every drink has its own personality and color. Guests can pick their favorite Sanderson Sister, or you can turn it into a little cocktail tasting and let everyone try all three.
For an easy Hocus Pocus Halloween party, set up a drink station with:
- Sarah Sanderson’s cocktail
- Winifred Sanderson’s cocktail
- Mary Sanderson’s cocktail
- Halloween cocktail napkins
- Spooky garnishes
- Candles and mini pumpkins
- A few witchy decorations
Then put Hocus Pocus on in the background and you have the perfect spooky-season night.
The Perfect Drinks for Spooky Season
Whether you’re throwing a big Halloween party or having a cozy Hocus Pocus movie night at home, these three cocktails are such a fun way to celebrate spooky season.
I love creating themed drinks like these because they turn a regular Halloween get-together into something your guests will remember.
So gather your favorite witches, pick your favorite Sanderson Sister, and make one — or all three — of these Hocus Pocus cocktails this Halloween.
Happy spooky season!
