Hocus Pocus Purple Punch – Easy Halloween Cocktail Recipe

Hocus Pocus Purple Punch
If you’re putting together a Halloween party and want one cocktail that instantly makes the table feel festive, this Hocus Pocus Purple Punch is such a fun one. The gorgeous deep purple color feels perfectly spooky without being over-the-top, and it’s fruity, refreshing, and easy enough to make for a crowd.
I love having a few festive drinks to choose from around Halloween. If you’re planning a whole fall cocktail menu, my Poisoned Apple Martini, Pumpkin Spice White Russian Punch, and Caramel Apple Cider Martini are a few more fun recipes to serve alongside this one.
An Easy Purple Halloween Punch
There’s something about a bright purple drink that just works for Halloween. It has that slightly magical, witchy look that fits right in with a Hocus Pocus-themed party, but the flavor is still light and fruity enough that it doesn’t feel like a novelty cocktail.
This purple Halloween punch has a combination of cranberry, pineapple, citrus, and a little fizz. Blue curaçao gives it that beautiful purple-blue color when mixed with the cranberry juice, while the fresh lime keeps everything from becoming too sweet.
And because this is a batched Halloween cocktail, you aren’t standing behind the counter making individual drinks while everyone else is having fun.
Perfect for a Hocus Pocus Halloween Party
Obviously, the name makes this one especially fun for a Hocus Pocus movie night or Sanderson Sisters-themed party. I love serving it in a pretty glass drink dispenser surrounded by a few simple Halloween decorations.
Blackberries look especially pretty floating throughout the punch because their dark color works perfectly with the purple cocktail. Add a few lime slices for contrast and it immediately looks like something you spent way more time making than you actually did.
You can also serve the punch in individual glasses with ice and add a couple of blackberries to each glass.
Make It Ahead for Easy Entertaining
One of my favorite things about making Halloween punch recipes is being able to do most of the work before anyone arrives.
You can mix the main portion of this Hocus Pocus Purple Punch earlier in the day and keep it chilled in the refrigerator. Then, right before serving, add the bubbly portion so the punch stays nice and fizzy.
It’s especially convenient when you’re serving other Halloween appetizers or desserts and don’t want another last-minute recipe to worry about.
A Fun Halloween Cocktail for a Crowd
This recipe makes approximately 8–10 servings, which makes it great for a small Halloween party, girls’ night, movie night, or fall get-together.
For a larger party, you can easily double the batch and use a larger drink dispenser or punch bowl.
I also love that the flavor isn’t overly heavy. There are plenty of creamy pumpkin and caramel drinks this time of year—which I absolutely love—but sometimes it’s nice to have something fruity and refreshing mixed into your fall cocktail lineup.
If you want another completely different drink for the same party, my Oatmeal Cookie Martini is a fun creamy option that pairs perfectly with all of those cozy Halloween and fall desserts.
How to Serve Hocus Pocus Purple Punch
For the prettiest presentation, fill your glasses with ice first and pour the punch over the top. Garnish with a few fresh blackberries and a lime slice.
You can keep the presentation fairly simple or have a little fun with it. Halloween cocktail glasses, skeleton-hand glasses, or a pretty glass drink dispenser can turn this easy punch into the centerpiece of your Halloween drink table.
However you serve it, this Hocus Pocus Purple Punch is an easy way to add a little Sanderson Sisters-inspired magic to Halloween night.
