Santa’s Salted Caramel Mocha Punch

If you’re looking for a Christmas cocktail that feels like dessert in a glass, Santa’s Salted Caramel Mocha Punch is it. This creamy holiday punch combines coffee, chocolate, caramel, and just a little sea salt for one of those drinks that tastes completely over-the-top in the best way.

I love having at least one creamy cocktail on the drink table during the holidays, especially when the rest of the menu has lighter and fruitier options. If you’re planning a full Christmas cocktail spread, my Pomegranate Christmas Bellini Punch gives you a beautiful bubbly option, while my Christmas Punch is another easy recipe for serving a crowd.

Santa’s Salted Caramel Mocha Punch is smooth, rich, and sweet without losing that coffee flavor. The caramel and chocolate give it that coffee-shop mocha taste, while the coffee liqueur and vodka turn it into a fun grown-up Christmas punch.

And of course, that little pinch of sea salt is what pulls everything together.

Why You’ll Love This Christmas Mocha Punch

There are so many reasons this is a great holiday entertaining recipe.

First, it’s batched, which means you aren’t standing in the kitchen making individual drinks while everyone else is enjoying the party.

Second, almost everything can be mixed ahead of time and chilled until you’re ready to serve.

And finally, it looks so festive once you dress up the glasses with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and a little chocolate.

If you love creamy Christmas drinks, you should also save my Gingerbread Holiday Martini. It has that same cozy dessert-cocktail feeling but with completely different holiday flavors.

What Does Salted Caramel Mocha Punch Taste Like?

Think of your favorite salted caramel mocha from a coffee shop — only creamier and with a little holiday cocktail twist.

You get coffee from the chilled espresso and Kahlúa, sweetness from the caramel syrup, chocolate from the chocolate syrup, and plenty of creaminess from the half-and-half.

Then there’s just enough salt to cut through all that sweetness.

The result is rich and decadent without tasting like you’re drinking straight caramel syrup.

Use Chilled Coffee or Espresso

Make sure your espresso or strong coffee is completely chilled before mixing the punch.

Adding hot coffee to the other ingredients can affect the texture and make the whole batch warm, which means you’ll have to wait much longer for it to chill again.

I like making the coffee earlier in the day and keeping it in the refrigerator until I’m ready to mix everything together.

Don’t Overdo the Salt

You really only need a small amount of sea salt.

The goal isn’t for the punch to taste salty. Salt simply enhances the chocolate and caramel flavors and helps balance the sweetness.

Start with the amount in the recipe, stir everything really well, and give it a taste.

Make It Look Extra Christmasy

This is where this punch gets really fun.

I love serving it in a clear punch bowl or drink dispenser so that gorgeous mocha color shows through.

For the glasses, add some whipped cream and a light caramel drizzle. You can also sprinkle a little cocoa powder or chocolate shavings over the top.

A festive Christmas straw makes it even cuter without requiring any extra work.

Can I Make Salted Caramel Mocha Punch Ahead of Time?

Yes — and I actually recommend it.

Mix the entire punch together and refrigerate it for at least 1–2 hours before serving.

This gives everything time to get nice and cold and allows the flavors to blend.

Just give the punch a really good stir again before serving because some of the ingredients may settle slightly while it sits.

I would wait until serving to add any whipped cream or garnishes.

Serve It Over Ice

Because this is a rich and creamy punch, I like serving each glass over ice rather than adding a huge amount of ice directly to the punch bowl.

That way the entire batch doesn’t slowly get watered down throughout the party.

You can even set out a small ice bucket next to the punch so everyone can fill their own glass.

Perfect for Christmas Parties

Santa’s Salted Caramel Mocha Punch would be so much fun for a Christmas Eve party, cookie exchange, holiday girls’ night, Christmas movie night, or dessert table.

I especially love it when you’re serving a mix of different holiday cocktails because it gives your guests something richer and more indulgent.

If you want a fruity drink alongside it, my Holiday Sangria is an easy choice that feels completely different.

Creamy, chocolatey, caramel-filled, and just a little salty, this Santa’s Salted Caramel Mocha Punch is such a fun Christmas drink for a crowd.

It’s easy to make ahead, easy to serve, and tastes like a festive coffee-shop drink turned into a holiday cocktail.

Add a little whipped cream, drizzle on some caramel, and I don’t think Santa would complain about finding a glass of this waiting next to the cookies!
