It’s rich, smooth, perfectly sweet, and tastes just like a delicious Christmas almond cookie in cocktail form. And can we talk about how pretty it looks served in a festive cocktail glass with a crushed cookie rim? It’s such a simple little touch that makes this drink feel extra special!

Whether you’re hosting a Christmas cookie exchange, having a holiday girls’ night, entertaining friends on Christmas Eve, or just enjoying a cozy evening by the Christmas tree, this is definitely a cocktail you’ll want to add to your holiday drink menu.

And if you love creamy Christmas cocktails as much as I do, make sure to try my RumChata Christmas Cheesecake Punch, Candy Cane White Chocolate Punch, and my Christmas Cookie Cocktail. They’re all such delicious options for holiday entertaining!

There is just something about almond-flavored desserts that reminds me of the holidays!

Growing up, Christmas cookies were always such a special part of the season, and I love bringing those nostalgic flavors into a festive drink.

This Christmas Almond Cookie Cocktail combines creamy RumChata, sweet amaretto, vanilla vodka, and a splash of milk or half-and-half to create the most delicious combination.

The amaretto gives the cocktail that wonderful almond-cookie flavor, while the RumChata adds a creamy texture with hints of cinnamon and vanilla.

And of course, the vanilla vodka brings everything together with just the right amount of sweetness.

It’s basically a Christmas cookie you can sip!

Why You’ll Love This Christmas Cocktail

One thing I always love about making cocktails during the holidays is finding recipes that look beautiful without requiring a ton of ingredients or preparation.

And this recipe is exactly that!

First, it’s incredibly easy to make. You only need four main ingredients, a cocktail shaker, and your favorite festive glass.

Second, the flavors are absolutely delicious together. The combination of almond, vanilla, cinnamon, and cream makes this drink taste like a homemade holiday dessert.

And finally, it’s such a pretty cocktail to serve!

I especially love coating the rim of the glass with a little vanilla frosting and crushed almond cookies. It gives the cocktail that extra bakery-inspired touch and makes every sip even more delicious.

If you’ve ever enjoyed a soft almond cookie with a hint of vanilla, imagine those same delicious flavors transformed into a smooth, creamy cocktail!

Amaretto is really the star of this recipe. It brings that sweet, nutty almond flavor that makes the cocktail taste so much like a Christmas cookie.

RumChata adds a rich, creamy consistency along with its delicious cinnamon and vanilla notes.

The vanilla vodka enhances the cookie-like flavor, while the milk or half-and-half helps create that perfectly smooth finish.

It’s sweet without being overly complicated, and I especially love serving it as an after-dinner Christmas cocktail.

You could even pair it with a plate of homemade Christmas cookies for the ultimate holiday dessert!

You know how much I love a pretty holiday cocktail, and sometimes it’s those small details that make the biggest difference!

For this Christmas Almond Cookie Cocktail, I love using a beautiful coupe or martini glass.

Before pouring in the cocktail, spread a little vanilla frosting around the rim and gently dip it into finely crushed almond cookies.

Not only does this look adorable, but it also gives you that delicious cookie flavor with every sip.

You can finish the cocktail with a very light sprinkle of nutmeg over the top for a little extra holiday warmth.

If you’re entertaining, arrange your prepared glasses on a pretty Christmas serving tray with some greenery, twinkle lights, or little decorative bows.

It’s such an easy way to make your holiday drinks look beautiful without going overboard!

Perfect for Christmas Parties and Holiday Girls’ Nights

One of my favorite things about the Christmas season is having friends and family over, putting on some Christmas music, and making a few festive cocktails to enjoy together.

And this is exactly the type of drink I love serving!

It’s perfect for a Christmas cookie exchange because the flavors go so well with all those delicious holiday treats.

It’s also a wonderful option for Christmas Eve, holiday dinner parties, girls’ nights, or a cozy Christmas movie night.

And because each cocktail only takes a few minutes to prepare, you don’t have to spend the entire evening behind the bar.

You can even prepare your cookie-rimmed glasses ahead of time so everything is ready when your guests arrive.

Can You Make This Christmas Cocktail Ahead of Time?

If you’re planning to entertain, you can absolutely make some of the preparations ahead of time!

I recommend crushing your almond cookies and preparing the rims of your cocktail glasses before your guests arrive.

You can also measure out your ingredients ahead of time and keep everything chilled in the refrigerator.

Since this recipe contains RumChata and milk or cream, I personally prefer shaking each cocktail with ice right before serving. This gives it that deliciously cold, smooth consistency.

And if you’re making a few cocktails at once, you can easily multiply the measurements to serve more guests.

Just make sure your cocktail shaker isn’t overcrowded so everything mixes together nicely.

Use good-quality amaretto. Since almond is the main flavor in this cocktail, a delicious amaretto really makes a difference.

Choose milk or half-and-half based on your preference. Whole milk creates a slightly lighter drink, while half-and-half gives it a richer, creamier finish.

Don’t skip the cookie rim! The crushed almond cookies and vanilla frosting are such a fun addition and really make this cocktail feel like a Christmas dessert.

Shake with plenty of ice. I love a really cold, creamy cocktail, especially when serving dessert-inspired drinks.

Serve immediately. This cocktail is best enjoyed freshly shaken and chilled.

If you’re looking for a new holiday cocktail that’s creamy, sweet, festive, and incredibly easy to make, this Christmas Almond Cookie Cocktail is definitely one to save!

Between the delicious almond flavor, smooth RumChata, sweet vanilla, and that adorable crushed cookie rim, it really does taste like Christmas in a glass.

I love recipes that bring a little extra holiday magic to the table without making entertaining complicated, and this cocktail is exactly that.

So grab your favorite Christmas cocktail glasses, turn on those twinkling lights, put out a plate of holiday cookies, and enjoy this delicious little Christmas treat!

Cheers to beautiful holiday moments, delicious cocktails, and making memories with the people you love!

Merry Christmas!
