FRESH BLACKBERRIES VS. BLACKBERRY SIMPLE SYRUP

In this recipe, you can always use either or! We use fresh blackberries here as I feel it gives off the perfect amount of taste and sweetness! Blackberry Simple Syrup will fill the cocktail with that wonderful blackberry taste, but also remember it’s made up of granulated sugar, so you will need to go easy on the amount! I suggest staring off with 1/2 an ounce and taste testing that! If you are planning to make a large batch, then yes, the simple syrup would be the way to go!

INGREDIENTS IN A BLACKBERRIES AND CREAM MARGARITA

TEQUILA

When making any Classic Margarita make sure to always get a high quality Tequila. You don’t have to break the bank, but definitely don’t go for bottom shelf on this!

ORANGE LIQUEUR

Cointreau is always my first choice and is the best, however if you don’t want to spend $30 or so on a bottle, then you can go with Triple Sec! It’s a great less expensive brand!

LIME JUICE

My advice – don’t ever buy lime juice on the shelf. ALWAYS use freshly squeezed lime juice in any drink or cocktail you may make!

BLACKBERRIES

This recipe calls for fresh blackberries. If you’d like to use blackberry simple syrup, please see my recommendations above!

COCONUT CREAM

It’s best to use cream of coconut for this recipe, mostly for the consistency! However, if you like coconut milk better by all means that will work as well!
